On January 1st, 2006 Lake Cable announced its commitment to be RoHS compliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). Lake Cable utilizes RoHS certified components in not only standard products but custom offerings as well. Recently, a new European Union directive that terminates the exemption of DecaBDE (decabromodiphenylether and/or decabromodiphenyloxide) from the RoHS list goes into effect on July 1st, 2008.
Lake Cable has made the necessary formulation changes to its compounds without compromising product quality, agency approvals or performance. ALL LAKE CABLE PRODUCTS ARE FULLY RoHS COMPLIANT. Lake Cable remains committed to the EU RoHS directive and continues to take a leadership role in conscientiously developing cables that are environmentally safe.
