MS is a dirty disease, so sometimes you’ve got to get just as down and dirty to take it on. That’s exactly what Muckin’ Lake Cable did recently when 30 of us joined nearly 3,000 fellow racers – er, muckers – at the Lake County Fairgrounds for 2017 MuckFest MS Chicago.
The main event, of course, was to navigate a mud-filled 5K course that had challenges galore with such names like Mt. Muck-Imanjaro, Skid Mark and Triple Pits.
Best of all, Lake Cable’s team raised $4,681.75 toward the National MS Society, making us one of the largest teams and fundraisers at the event. In total, we’re proud to do our part in a nationwide effort that has raised over $27 million for the continued research and support for people fighting MS every day.
When it comes to having fun for a good cause, it doesn’t feel much better than this. Congratulations, you muckers. We can’t wait to see how you top this next year.
